How to Play

In Five Nights at Freddy’s, you play as a nighttime security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, working the graveyard shift from 12 AM to 6 AM. Your only tools are security cameras to monitor different rooms, hallway lights to check for visitors, and steel doors to block animatronics that approach. Every action—turning lights on, checking cameras, closing doors—consumes limited power, so you must use them sparingly. If you fail to prevent an animatronic from entering your office, it will startle you and cause you to end the night prematurely. As the nights advance, your adversaries become more aggressive, demanding sharper focus and resource management.

The Animatronics/Robotics

Freddy Fazbear: The main threat who becomes more active in later nights; watching him on cameras slows his progress.
Chica the Chicken: Moves toward your right door and often appears in bright hallway shots; close the door when you see her.
Bonnie the Bunny: Approaches from the left door; tends to be unpredictable.
Foxy the Pirate: Resides in Pirate Cove; if neglected on cameras, he can sprint down the hallway and attack if the left door is open.
Golden Freddy: A rare, ghostlike animatronic who can appear in your office if certain camera events trigger; his jumpscare is instant.

Stay Calm: Panic leads to overuse of your tools and faster power drain—steady nerves help you last the night.
